Obviously, there must be a ton of spells and potions in the Harry Potter universe, other than the ones that JKR describes in the books. It would be impossible to list all of them, so, I've come up with an interesting idea.

A wizard who had a working knowledge of Latin might be able to create countless different spells by combining different stems and roots. Keep that in mind when creating your spells, you could earn your house a lot of points.

Anyone who wants to can feel free to create a spell, but please don't start using it until one of the mods approve it. Copy and paste this form to fill out the registry for a spell and reply to this thread.

1. [b]Spell incantation/Potion name:[/b] (This must be a Latin word, or a combination of Latin words. Please include a literal translation.)

2. [b]Effects of the spell/Potion:[/b] (i.e., what does it do? What's it's purpose?)

3. [b]Level of difficulty:[/b] (i.e. at what Hogwarts year would you learn this type of spell? Is it a first year spell, or really advanced magic?)

4. [b]Wand motion:[/b] (i.e. swish and flick! :D)

5. [b]Background:[/b] (If you want, you can invent some background for the spell, i.e. who created it.)

Five points to your house when your spell is accepted.
